Walmart is recalling about 2.5 million fruit products, including strawberries, apples, mangoes, bananas and mangoes and cherries, from its U.S. stores in the first fruit recall in more than a decade.
The company said Monday it has ordered an additional 10 million products, mostly from Asian markets, as well as fresh fruit from Canada and other countries.
The company has also stopped selling products from its flagship Target chain and some smaller stores.
The fruit recall is expected to start Monday and will affect about 12 million people, according to Walmart.
